Warrior Fit


"After running (jogging) myself (and my knees) into the ground for years I knew there had to be a better way to exercise and stay healthy. So with my martial arts background as inspiration I developed Warrior Fit. This program utilizes many concepts from Cardio Kickboxing and customized core strengthening routines which are complemented by our martial arts offerings, allowing students to increase their stamina, physical conditioning and flexibility and most of all strengthen their core.  Warrior Fit does not involve physical contact between competitors - It's an abdominal, core and cardio program that allows you to work at your own pace yet continue to push yourself  as your stamina and strength increases."

Warrior Fit Level I classes usually start with stretches and core strengthening exercises. The main portion of the class includes constant movements such as knee strikes, kicks, and punches and targets specific areas of the body often including or isolating the abdominals, glutes, arms, back etc. Because this class is taught by Meghan, a 1st Dan Hapkido and Guazabara instructor, you will learn to punch and kick as a martial artist even if you do not take any of the other classes offered.  It's fun and exhilarating...  

No experience necessary, all levels of fitness, age and experience welcome and all exercises can be tailored to fit each individual student's needs.  Improve your confidence, strength, overall fitness level and have fun in the process. No lengthy dance based moves, just a pure martial arts inspired workout.  It will produce results!  Recommended personal equipment for this class is open finger kickboxing gloves with wrist support, attire is workout shorts or sweats. We have gloves you can borrow, so come in and try out a free class and get Warrior Fit!!! 

We also provide personal (private) training so be sure to ask when you call!

Warrior Fit Level II Looking to ratchet up your training to the next level? Level II of our Warrior Fit cardio fitness program will do just that. This class is based on intense, 3-5 minute intervals and utilizes body weight and core conditioning drills specifically developed by Meghan. These workouts are designed to train the student's core and cardio to mimic the explosiveness necessary for athletes to break through their current fitness ceiling, increasing both their endurance and strength. We train everyone from MMA fighters and physical trainers to those who want to reach that level of fitness. Many of our Level I students attend this class to periodically push themselves and their cardio to new heights.

Walk-in Saturdays  We understand that there are a number of reasons why you may not be able to commit full time to our Warrior Fitness programs. That doesn't mean you cant squeeze a fun workout in from time to time. Level I and Level II, currently offered at 9am and 10am respectively, are a great way to start off you weekend. For a flat fee of just $5 you can attend either class Saturday morning whenever you want, just walk in and hit the mat.  

Kid Fit  Adults cant have all the fun! Kit Fit, currently offered on Saturdays from 11am to Noon, is a great way to make some of that extra energy our kids have productive. We've pulled some of the best, most fun workouts from Warrior Fit levels I and II and built them into this unique program for ages 5 and up. Whether you want to drop them off and get some Saturday morning shopping done or come in and do the class together, what a great way to start off your weekend! No membership required, it's a simple $5 fee/person whenever you and/or your child can make it in.
